A Warm Stove

April 26, 1932  North wind and cold.  We sat around the warm stove all day.
A Kansas farmer never knew what kind of weather to expect.  In fact, Cornelius had written just the day before that it was a very nice day.  Now it was too cold to work outside and they enjoyed the warmth of a crackling fire.  Surely some good stories were shared of the olden days.  And it taught a farmer to accept whatever kind of weather that God gave and to trust in his providence.
